Mille Fleurs: The Art of Becoming
A feeling can shape more than a collection. It can shape an entire world.
For Mille Fleurs, we wanted to create a world that felt as though it existed beyond the frame. When a collection begins with a feeling, every detail that follows is considered through the same lens: from the places we photograph it to the way a garment moves, the light that falls across it, and the spaces that surround it.
The Concept / Campaign
For the campaign, we travelled to Spain, drawn to its particular quality of light, colour and landscape. There is something inherently painterly about the country, sun-warmed architecture, textured walls, wild gardens and landscapes that seem to shift in colour throughout the day. It held the same sense of romance and abundance that first inspired Mille Fleurs.
"We don't simply choose a location because it is beautiful. We look for places that evoke the same emotion as the collection. If the concept begins somewhere, the campaign should feel as though it has arrived there too." - K. Chase
The Concept / Ecom
The same philosophy carried through to the e-commerce set, where giant flowers transform the space into a world of their own. A girl walks into a sea of blooms, surrounded by the very flowers that inspired the collection, as though she has stepped directly into an artwork.
It was important that the flowers did not simply sit behind the clothes. They became part of the composition, creating a sense of depth, scale and movement around each piece. The garments became another layer within the scene, their prints and silhouettes unfolding amongst oversized petals and abundant forms, as though they have always belonged there.
Every element was considered in relation to the next: scale, colour, movement and form, creating moments that feel less like a traditional fashion set and more like stepping into a living still life.
Construction
Behind that sense of ease is a process that is anything but hurried.
Some of our most intricate pieces can take one person an entire day to create. Each garment is built slowly, layer by layer, with hours devoted to intricate details and considered construction as the silhouette gradually comes to life. There is something inherently special about this unhurried process, where every element is given the time to find its place.
This is where the art direction of Mille Fleurs extends beyond the image. The same attention given to a flower in a painting, its shape, its placement, the way it sits amongst everything around it is reflected in the way each garment is made.

The result is a collection that feels abundant without feeling arranged. Florals unfold across the fluidity of Mulberry silk and the natural texture of French linen, while silhouettes move between softness and structure and details reveal themselves gradually. Nothing is intended to feel overly perfect. Instead, there is a sense of life in the composition, as though the flowers have grown into the garments rather than simply been placed upon them.
